Chapter - 1 - Verse -> 7 to 15

Asmakam tu visista ye tan nibodha dvijottama !
Nayaka mam Sainyasya samjnar tham tan bravimi te !! 7 !!

Translation :-
O best of the twice born brahmanas please note those who are especially qualified amongst us to lead my military forus, for your information I am naming then

Bhavan bhismas ca karnas ca krpas ca samitinjayan !
Asvatthama vikarnas ca saumadattir jayadrathan !! 8 !!

Translation :-
Your respected self and Bhisma and karna and the always victorious in battle krpa and Asvatthama and Vikarma, Bhurisrava and jayadratha the king of sindhu ...

Anye ca bahavah sura mad - arthe tyakta - jivitah !
nana - sastra - praharanah sarve yuddha - visaradah !! 9 !! 

Translation :-
All of then equipped with many weapons, expert in military science are prepared to risk their lives for my sake as well as a great many other heroes ...

Aparyaptam tad asmakam balam bhismabhiraksitam !
Paryaptam to idam etesam balam bhimabhiraksitam !! 10 !!

Translation :-
Our army protected by the strength of Bhisma is unlimited but the army of the Pandavas bing protected by the strength of Bhima is limited ....

Ayanesu ch sarvesu yatha - bhagam avasthitah !
Bhismam evabhiraksantu bhavantah sarva eva hi !! 11 !!

Translation :-
All of you must certainly fully protect Bhisma foremost at all strategic points situated respectively in your various formations ...

Tasya sanjanayan harsam kuru - vrddhah pitamahah !
simha - nadam vinadyoccaih sankham dadhmau pratapayvan !! 12 !!

Translation :-
Then Bhism, the valiant grandsire of the kuru dynasty roaring like a lion, blew his conch shell very loudly for increasing Duryodhan's cheerfulness ...

Tatah sankhas ca bheryas ca panavanaka - gomukhan !
Sahasaivabhyahanyanta sa sabdas tumulo 'bhavant !! 13 !!

Translation :-
Thereafter conchshells, bugles, trumpets, kettledrums and cow horns suddenly were all simultaneously sounded and that combined sound tumultuous...

Tatah shvetair hayair yukte mahati syandane sthitan !
Madhavah pandavas caiva divyan shankhan pradadhmatun !! 14 !!

Translation :-
Thereafter both lord krisna and Arjuna stationed on a magnificent chariot harnessed by white horses resounded their transcendental conchshells ...

Pancajanyam hrsikeso devadattam dhananjayah !
Paundram dadhmau maha - sankham bhima - karma vrkodarah !! 15 !!

Translation :-
Lord krisna blew his conch shell Pancajanya and Arjuna blew his conch shell Devadatta and Bhima that activator of incredible prowess blew the great conch shell Paundra ....
